Raigarh Ispat & Power Private Limited was incorporated under Companies Act 1956 on 21st September 2004. The Company has been promoted by Shri Kamal Agrawal & Shri Dhruv Kumar Agrawal and their family members. Presently the company is successfully operating an integrated plant 4*100 TPD (Ton per Day) Sponge Iron, 90000 TPA Billet, 12 MW Power Plant at Vill- Delari, Raigarh (C.G.).
Sponge Iron is a metallic product produced through direct reduction of iron ore pellets/ iron ore in the solid state. It is a substitute for scrap and is mainly used in making steel through the secondary route. It can be substituted by scrap or pig iron to a limited extent (maintaining the sponge iron to scrap ratio at a minimum of 60:40). In India, heavy melting scrap (HMS) required for manufacturing quality steel is not available in adequate quantity and therefore the production of Sponge Iron has increased. Sponge Iron has become raw material for manufacturing of M.S ingots/ Billets. The company will do captive consumption of Sponge iron to manufacture billet.

Keeping pace with the economic development of India, the demand for quality for Power is growing at an ever increasing rate leading to widening of gap between demand & supply. Power generated by the power plant will be utilized in-house for feeding Induction Furnace unit
Billet is one of the most commonly produced semi-finished steel products that is used to produce all the long products in the steel sector. The steel so produced will be in different size & blocks, called as BILLET. The Billet, so produced will be raw material for rolling mills. Rolling mills will convert it in to rods of different size & quality for final use & consumption.

Shri Dhruv Kumar Agrawal belongs from well known PRA Group based from Surajpur (C.G.). His family is very well known industrialist family in whole of Chhattisgarh State. PRA Group is well known Civil Contractors group dealing in road work, DAM etc. They are in Civil Contractorship from past more than 30 years,. Apart from business in Raigarh Ispat & Power Pvt. Ltd. his family has so many alternate means as mentioned above.
